Day 3 – Manning River

12-Jul

Manning Gorge

Most of the group went on a very early Manning Gorge hike to see the Manning waterfall, Jen and I decided we would have a relaxing morning and stay, with a few others, behind. Time to have a proper shower, and catchup on the blog. At least I can write the blog, not sure when I will be able to post it as we do not have any coverage here.

When the team got back we enjoyed another great lunch prepared by Kaz and got ready for our afternoon trip. This time it was a short 12 KM drive to Galvan’s Gorge. Once we arrived at the parking it was a short 750 meter walk to reach the waterfall. The water as coolish but perfect to cool off and have a nice swim. The water coming down from above was considerably warmer than than the water in the pond.

We had a great time and Kaz took, again, a great picture of the group in front of the waterfall.

On the way back to camp we filled up the truck with both water and fuel so that we are ready for our next destination tomorrow. Tonight Jimmy will cook dinner, he promised chicken curry and even a damper over the firepit as desert.

Here are a few pictures of the day:
