Last day in Broome

22 July

Today was the final day of our Kimberley adventure. Sleeping in a proper bed and enjoying a long shower was well deserved.

We flew home in the afternoon after a farewell lunch with Geri and Michael, who would continue their caravan journey around Australia.

Below is a map of the tour we completed. We had an amazing time and experienced another wonderful part of this beautiful country.

Fauna and Flora

We saw so many birds during this trip that it would be impossible to show them all here. We were also fortunate to have Pauline in our group. She had an incredible eye for birds and seemed to know every species we came across.

The Kimberley’s flora was just as impressive. We were lucky to be visiting at the right time of year, with many of the wildflowers and native plants in full bloom, adding even more colour to an already spectacular landscape.

Here is a selection of the photographs I took during the trip. (I managed to come home with more than 2,000 photos! 🤣)
