NSW trip: 25 March – last day

Writing this last update from home, where we arrived around 6pm after driving back from Dubbo.

The many attractions to see and do around Dubbo were all closed, and though we would have enjoyed a nice bushwalk, the forecasted rain did not really appeal, nor having to pack up wet gear the next day, as we certainly knew then that we’d be heading home. We will be back another time to explore the area.

Coming home was timely, as we are hearing of more and more places closing, and even Victoria State Health Officer has issued a directive for park closures. The roads home were very very empty, so we had a smooth trip which took most of the day.

A shame that our first planned trip was cut short, but it’s been a lovely break during these very strange and uncertain times. Who knows when we can all plan our own lives again.

For now, we are ending this trip’s blog – thanks for reading and your comments. Stay safe everyone!
