Day 11: Last day of my “Bucket List Trip” (BLT 😁). I am writing this blog at the airport all ready to go home. But I had one more day to spend in the US and as Houston is home to over 750 murals I thought it was a great idea to see a few of them. When Jen and I travel through Australia we always take the time to see murals, and over the years we have seen quite a few.
Well, I must say they’ve done a great job in Houston, and what better way than seeing them on a Segway 😊😊 Jen and I have done a few Segway tours and it is a great way to get around.
We had a small group that even got a bit smaller after the first 5 minutes as one person did not feel comfortable and had to be brought back. The route our guide took was partly through downtown Houston and along the Houston Bayou. This city has a lot of walk and bike paths, so different from Orlando, getting around on the Segways was very easy.
Here are a few of the murals:
That concludes my blogging for now, I am looking forward to getting home and sleeping in my own bed again (and more importantly, seeing Jen again). Thanks for all the comments and compliments, I’ll keep this blog up, so if you (or me) want to go over this again it will be there.
Regards,
Arno
Hi dad
Looks like you had a great 11 days in the States. Now, it’s back to your own bed and Jennifer. I had a blast reading the blog and seeing the pictures. Thanks, and have a safe journey!
Thanks Dennis 😍
Plenty of blank canvasses in Houston… those murals are huge! And many quite colourful… xx
Safe flight back Arno. Very enjoyable read.
Bought back some memories, youngest daughter and I spent a day at the Houston space centre in 2017. And now she works for Boeing.
Thanks Damian, it was an amazing trip!
